.::About Me::.
Me as an Artist

I specialize in digital medium, as it seems that my traditional skills have grown awfully rusty. I have a well-rounded knowledge of Photoshop CS4 and it's functions, but I don't know how to work much else. I have a Wacom Intuos 3 Graphics Tablet, though I hope to someday save up enough money to buy a Cintiq.

I do many other kinds of art. I do GFX, watercolors, colored pencils, ink, clay sculpting, and just about anything else I can get my hands on. Whether or not I'm good at them is another story, but I enjoy them thoroughly and strive to get better in places I have weaknesses.

I have been drawing since I've been able to pick up an pencil, and have tons of old artwork locked away in boxes or stowed in binders for reference sakes. I hate to throw away my art, and I have a hard time parting from my originals (I will often times at the very least scan the image and have a digital backup before giving out the hard copy.) I love my mechanical pencils, 0.5mm being my favorite size. I have a wide variety of art supplies and have always preferred the best quality.

In college, I am aiming for a double major in college of a Doctorate in Biology and a Masters in Art. I want to specialize in Herpetology and maybe even draw some of the reptiles. I'd love to be able to incorporate both the reptile and art thing into a career because it combines both things I'm passionate about the most.
What I'm made of

I love reptiles.

They are my favorite animals, the more interesting and unique creatures that I have ever seen. They are not so far off that they are as bizarre as a bug, but not exactly so close as to what we expect from a mammal.
I guess the only reason why I am so fascinated with them is because I used to love dinosaurs. How did that change? We caught a lizard.

I would love to be a herpetologist someday. Working with reptiles would satisfy me to no ends. For some reason, I can sit and stare at my own bearded dragons for a full 20 minutes without growing bored, observing their every movement and behavior. Desert reptiles fascinate me the most. Their survival methods are so amazing and unique.

I love to play video games, and am a loyal fan to Nintendo's Legend Of Zelda series. I am one of those crazy fangirls that goes crazy every time she sees a Zelda product that is not a game. My friends all laugh about it, but I don't mind. I also love Capcom's Ace Attorney series, Sega's Old Generation Sonic (everything prior to Sonic Riders), and Nintendo's Fire Emblem series. Though I am not a big fan, I am considering buying an Xbox because my friends rave about it day and night.

As much as I love reading stories, I have a tendency to skip over reading books because I'd rather occupy my time with something else. That is, outside of school. Instead, I seem to replace such things with Forum Role Playing games. I do it with friends and we write paragraphs upon paragraphs at a time, giving a nice balance between reading and writing. It's a lot of fun, and helps me develop my character's personalities all the more.

I hope to someday make a webcomic with my characters. It would bring me the ultimate satisfaction to see my characters on a page interacting with each other. I have been working on the same story for about 5 years now, and I've been loving every moment of it. My characters are slowly gaining their personalities and have gone through so much development that I could answer questions about them as if they were a real person. It's been loads of fun and any writer knows the satisfaction of their story growing and developing. Hopefully I'll be at the skill I wish to be soon so I can start on it
